On the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Roberto Raviola, known as Magnus, an elegant volume retraces the career of one of the masters of Italian and international comics.

The common thread is an exploration of Magnus's heroes and anti-heroes, which brings to life the story of the artist through his numerous characters: from his beginnings with Kriminal to the satirical and grotesque Alan Ford, created in partnership with screenwriter Max Bunker, from the saga of I Briganti to the noir of Lo Sconosciuto, up to the heroines depicted in Milady and the collection of stories Le femmine incantate, from the Lunario to the legendary giant Tex album that took him seven years to complete. A special chapter is dedicated to the relationship between Magnus and Bologna, his city, and his ties with other great authors such as Bonvi and Andrea Pazienza.

The catalogue is accompanied by a rich selection of illustrations, drawings, and plates by the artist, an unpublished comic story by Giuseppe Palumbo, and critical essays by experts in the Ninth Art, including Daniele Brolli, Antonio Faeti, and others. An invitation for both old and new readers to immerse themselves in the fascinating creative universe of one of the most beloved authors on the comic book scene.
